Influences

Most of my influences come from the places and people around me. The songs are written normally as a result of needing some form of outlet for thoughts and emotions. However, I aminfluenced by a number of artists for lots of different reasons.

There are two really important songwriters to me. They are very different musicians but both with the ability to write incredibly simple but amazing songs that have sold millions upon millions of records. Many people put them down for those very reasons but you can't help but respect the success they've had. They have made everyone and anyone think they can pickup a guitar and play but what people forget is that writing the songs in first place is the fine-art. These artists are Kurt Cobain and Noel Gallagher and worldwide are considered underrated and overrated. Despite their massive successes, i still consider them both to be very underrated songwriters.

Jimmy Page is the artist that got me into guitar playing as whole. Every solo in every record cuts right through and brings the whole song to a new level. Cream and Jimi Hendrix are huge inspirations but Led Zeppelin stand out by a long way to me as far as influence goes - surprising, as they come from an era that i only wish i had been a part of.

There's probably too many other bands to mention but the likes of Free, AC/DC, Offspring, 3 Doors Down, Silverchair, Metallica all really inspire me but most inspiration comes from life itself. Cheesy but true!
